Who Can Apply:

Eligibility
Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport.

Health and Character
Applicants should be in good health and possess good character, which includes being physically and mentally healthy and meeting the medical examination requirements of both the country and the university. Applicants should also have no criminal record and maintain a friendly attitude towards China. Furthermore, applicants must be well-behaved and willing to comply with Chinese laws and regulations, as well as the rules of SJTU.

Educational Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent degree (or above) recognized in China is required.

Application Procedure:

Step 1: Complete SJTU Online Application for university-level preliminary review
Complete and submit online application via the SJTU International Application Portal (http://apply.sjtu.edu.cn) prior to the application deadline of each round.

Step 2: Complete SAIF MF Online Application for institute-level review
Complete and submit online application via the SAIF MF International Student Application Portal (https://apply.saif.sjtu.edu.cn/user/login/saif/43) prior to the application deadline of each round.

Please note that the above two steps are MANDATORY. Completion of both applications is required for application eligibility, admission evaluation and scholarship consideration.

Step 3: Attend an Interview (by Invitation Only)
Interviews are arranged by invitation only. An interview invitation indicates that your application has reached an advanced stage of consideration, but it does not guarantee admission. For most international applicants who are unable to attend on-site interviews, online interviews will be arranged accordingly.

Step 4: Admissions Decision
SAIF will release round-based application feedback to applicants via email. Applicants who pass SAIF institute-level review and interview will enter the final review conducted by SJTU. Upon completion of the final review, SJTU will issue the official Graduate Admission Notice.

Current Resumes/CV;
Official university transcript;
Copy of graduation certificates (if graduated);
Two reference letters;
Essays;
A one-minute video;
Photocopy of the information page of your passport;
TOEFL or IELTS (view language requirements for waiver eligibility);
GRE or GMAT (recommended but not required);
Optional: HSK, CPA/CFA certifications;

Note: If your documents are not in English or Chinese, please have them translated into either English or Chinese by an authorized translation agency. Then upload both the translated and original documents onto the application system.

Application Deadlines:

The Admissions Committee gives every application the fullest possible review. Please allow up to 8 weeks after each application deadline to get your admissions decisions.
