Elsevier, a globally renowned academic publication group, released the "2022 Highly Cited Chinese Researchers" list on March 28th. Three professors from Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance (SAIF), Feng Li, Jun Pan, and Ning Zhu, were named as Highly Cited Researchers in the fields of Industry & Business Administration and Applied Economics.

The List was compiled based on Scopus, an authoritative citation and indexing database, and its statistical source and methodology were developed by Shanghai Ranking Consultancy. The analysis and identification of Chinese scholars at different career stages were conducted from multiple dimensions to systematically present their research performance.

This year, Elsevier used updated data based on the China SCADC categories that cover 111 subjects. The update improved the scientific and accurate depiction of Chinese scholars' research output, aided in the study of the citation performance of scholars, and introduced more outstanding scholars in subdivided fields to the public.

The 2022 Highly Cited Chinese Researchers List covered 10 subjects from 84 China SCADC categories and included a total of 5,216 scholars from 504 universities, enterprises, and research institutions. A significant number of scholars from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), including 159, were named on the list.

The recognition of Professors Feng Li, Jun Pan, and Ning Zhu as Highly Cited Chinese Researchers by Elsevier is a testament to the exceptional quality of research they have conducted at SAIF. Their contributions to their respective fields, Industry & Business Administration and Applied Economics, further established SAIF's reputation as a leading institution for business education and research.
