SAIF MF Program was ranked No.1 in Asia and No.10 globally in 2018 Financial Times (FT) MF Program Ranking. On Sep 1st, 2018, Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance (SAIF) held a Appreciation event and MF Alumni Family Day in celebration of this honor at Pudong Lujiazui Campus. More than 30 MF alumni along with 10 faculty and staff members gathered together for the event and shared this glory together.
Prof. Jie PAN, Deputy Dean of SAIF, looked back at SAIF’s memorable moments, from its establishment to its prosperous development. He encouraged SAIF alumni to keep in mind SAIF’s mission of SAIF and contribute to the development of financial sector in China.
Prof. Zhan JIANG, Faculty Director of MF Program, introduced MF Program and FT Ranking. SAIF MF distinguishes itself in the following rankings: “Employment at Three Months” (#1 in the world), “Faculty with Doctorates” (#1 in the world), “Salary Increase” (#5 in the world), and “Value for Money” (#7 in the world). Currently, SAIF MF stands as one of the most prestigious finance programs in Asia. In terms of education, MF Program is meant to bring enhancements to students on hard skills, soft skills, practice, international exposure and career development. Building on the success of our current MF Program, SAIF is launching a new track: MF-FinTech.
Ms. Lin YANG, Head of MF Program, introduced the alumni benefit plan to show SAIF’s gratitude to the contributions of all alumni. MF Program will also support alumni as for lifelong learning and career development.
Mr. Hai LIN, Managing Director of Citibank (China) Co., Ltd. and SAIF EMBA graduate, shared his insights and experience with everyone. In particular, Mr. LIN put emphasis on the importance of attitude, communication and ambition for career development.
Mr. Shujian ZHANG (MF09 Alumnus), Vice President of China International Capital Corporation Limited., made a speech on personal experience, market overview and professional details. Mr. Zhang encouraged everyone to seize the opportunities and stick to appropriate direction.
Ms. Ting XIONG, MF09 alumna and Senior Manager of Strategic Investment Department of Meituan, shared her experience and insights on career-changing, and distinguished strategic investment from financial investment.
Mr. Alan QIU and Ms. Kathleen ZHANG （Assistant Director of Career Development Center） also had heated discussion with alumni on trends of career development in the financial industry.

Meanwhile, the innovative DIY activity for MF Alumni Family Day was also in full swing at the lobby. Alumni’s families had a relaxing afternoon filled with laughter. They carefully mixed different colors and crafted the clay in to different shapes. Finally, they successfully made marvelous constellation icons and clay paintings of underwater world. At the moment when the masterpieces eventually came out, all family members felt really proud of themselves.
MF alumni and students had a simple dinner afterwards. During the meal, they talked about the development of SAIF MF Program and recalled the interesting stories during their campus life. We sincerely hope that each alumnus will realize his/her own dream.
