On April 9th, a delegation from the Adam Smith Business School (ASBS) at the University of Glasgow visited Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance (SAIF) at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). The delegation was led by Professor Graeme Roy (Dean of the ASBS, Deputy Dean of the College of Social Sciences), along with Dr. Xiang LI (Director of the International Affairs). Professor Shijun Cheng, Executive Dean of SAIF, hosted the delegation for discussions on short-term study programs and faculty exchanges, joined by relevant business directors of SAIF.

Professor Cheng expressed his hope for deeper and wider cooperation, while Professor Roy highlighted ASBS’s strengths and affirmed strong interest in building a lasting partnership.
During the meeting, the two sides reached initial consensus on: student exchanges (summer schools and customized study tours) to build diverse international learning platforms; online learning (project-based courses tailored to student needs) to enrich teaching and enhance learning outcomes; and faculty exchanges (mutual visits and academic seminars) to boost collaboration.
As a leading institution in international finance education in China, SAIF upholds an open approach to education and has continuously expanded its collaborative network with top-tier institutions worldwide. This in-depth engagement with ASBS further deepens SAIF’s growing portfolio of international partnerships.
