On October 26th, 2023, Dean Madhav Rajan of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business visited the Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance (SAIF) at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The SAIF representatives attending the meeting included Executive Dean Shijun Cheng, Deputy Dean of Academic Affairs and Faculty Hong Yan, Deputy Dean Tan Wang, Associate Dean Xuan Luo, and Associate Director of the China Academy of Financial Research Xianglin Li.
Executive Dean Cheng provided an overview of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and SAIF, expressing a desire for expanded collaboration between SAIF and the Booth School of Business. Deputy Dean Yan outlined SAIF’s faculty development and global partnerships. Deputy Dean Wang and Associate Dean Luo highlighted the Master of Finance Program and Executive Education offerings.
Dean Rajan commended SAIF’s prominent position in high-end financial education. He highlighted several of Booth’s new Asia-focused initiatives and conveyed interest in advancing cooperation between the two institutions.
