On October 26th, 2023, the Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance (SAIF) officially launched China's first systematic and cutting-edge Sci-Tech Innovation Finance curriculum suite. This new offering fully utilizes SAIF's unique position connecting the Shanghai International Science and Innovation Center and Shanghai International Financial Center. The curriculum meets the multifaceted talent needs of enterprises, research institutions, and government agencies operating at the intersection of science, technology, and finance.
Oriented around enhancing financial services for sci-tech innovation, the curriculum suite provides talent development and intellectual support to grow Shanghai as a global hub for both finance and technology.
To create a truly comprehensive program covering all parties and processes in the sci-tech innovation ecosystem, SAIF thoroughly compiled 146 programs and 502 courses from 80 global institutions. Organized under the theme of "Financial Drive," the system incorporates "6+2" key aspects: Macro Background, Financial Drive, Market Orientation, Management Guarantee, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Result Transformation, Technological Support, and Industry Frontiers. It offers foundational, intermediate, and advanced course levels to provide developmental tracks tailored to diverse backgrounds. Students can also combine specialized courses to build targeted knowledge in the various sci-tech innovation roles and cycles.
At the launch event, SAIF formalized strategic talent training partnerships with seven organizations: Shanghai Securities News, Shanghai SME Development Service Center, G60 Yangtze River Delta Innovation Corridor, Shanghai Sci-Tech Innovation Center Capital, NeoBay, Agricultural Bank of China (Shanghai Branch), and the Yangtze River Delta Technology Innovation Research Institute.
