The Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance (SAIF) hosted its annual International Expert Board (IEB) Program Development meeting on November 1, 2024. The gathering brought together distinguished leaders from global financial institutions and academia.
Key attendees included Changsheng Tao, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Municipal Financial Committee Office; SAIF leadership represented by Executive Dean Shijun Cheng and Deputy Deans Hong Yan and Tan Wang; and international experts from BlackRock, Charles Schwab, Nomura, Neuberger Berman, J.P. Morgan, McKinsey, and East West Bank. The meeting was chaired by David Li, SAIF MF Program Faculty Director.

The institute's future initiatives will emphasize Innovation Finance, Digital Finance, and Sustainable Finance, underpinned by international collaboration and technological advancement.
The IEB, established eighteen months ago, has played a pivotal role in advancing Shanghai's position as an international financial center through high-caliber talent development. Deputy Dean Wang highlighted the board's contributions, including the successful launch of a dual-degree program and curriculum enhancements that bridge academic theory with industry practice.
The meeting concluded with productive discussions on Shanghai's evolution as a global financial hub and the future of business education. Deputy Director Tao delivered closing remarks, affirming SAIF's progress and vision.
