Private Auction held to raise Fun Fund for MBA 2011
Wanna make your life more fun at SAIF? You gotta plan ahead. The MBA students of the coming fall semester initiated a Fun Fund which is supposed to give financial support for group activities or care for all MBA students of 2011.

How to raise the money? To charge a fee from peers is apparently not a good idea; instead, a private auction was organized where classmates can donate valuable collections or/and bid for items auctioned on a voluntary basis.

The first private auction was held on June 19, where over 20 MBA students of 2011 and two students of 2010 took an active part. The items donated, including handicrafts, cosmetics, books, toys, electronic and digital appliances, were mostly sold at a much higher price than on the market. The bidders, for one thing, are confident about the value and potential of the items; for another, would like to contribute more to the Fun Fund.

For the sustainable development of the Fund, the highest bidders together with a representative from each class constitute the first Board, responsible for the operation of the Fund. Never forgetting to make full use of their expertise, the Fund also elected an internal auditor who will release the financial statement on a regular basis.
