Professor Xiaochun Liu is an Affiliate Professor of Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance (SAIF), Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He is also Deputy Director of China Academy of Financial Research, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Co-Dean of Zhejiang Zhijiang Advanced Financial Research Institute and Deputy Dean of Shanghai Finance Institute. Prior to joining SAIF, he worked for many years in Zhejiang Branch of Agricultural Bank of China as Member of the Party Committee and Deputy President, and he served as General Manager of Hong Kong Branch, Agricultural Bank of China. Meanwhile, he held the positions of Independent Director and Executive Director of several securities companies and banks.

Professor Xiaochun Liu worked as member of the three-person preparatory group of the International Business Department of the Agricultural Bank of China Zhejiang Branch, and had independently prepared for the Business Department of the Agricultural Bank of China Zhejiang Branch. Since March 2019, he has been teaching the compulsory course Case Studies in Commercial Bank Operations and Management for postgraduate students at the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.

Professor Xiaochun Liu has published books including A Banker's Management Notes, The New Landscape of Financial Technology: From Technological Enthusiasm to Rational Prosperity, and Research on the Transformation of Asset and Liability Management in China's Small and Medium-sized Banks.
