Exchange Agreement Signed Between Goethe University and SAIF

The Agreement on International Exchange Program was recently signed between Goethe University Frankfurt and SAIF, which extends the list of SAIF partners to 20 schools. Two SAIF Master of Finance students will have the opportunity to be exchanged to Goethe University Frankfurt for the Master of Science in Money and Finance program for one semester starting from the autumn semester 2014.

The Goethe University Frankfurt (full German name: Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main) was founded in 1914 through private funding as a Citizens' University. It was named in 1932 after one of the most famous natives of Frankfurt, the poet and writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Today, Goethe University is one of the largest public institutions of higher learning in Germany. Until now Goethe University Frankfurt has produced 14 Nobel Prize winners, including 8 graduates.

The Master’s program in Money and Finance (MMF) is an innovative joint venture of the Department of Money and Macroeconomics and of the Department of Finance. The program offers promising students from all over the world an intellectually stimulating and challenging setting in which to prepare for their professional careers in central banking, commercial banking, insurance and other financial services. By being located in Frankfurt, one of the world's leading financial centers and the only city in the world with two central banks (the ECB and the German Bundesbank), it offers unique opportunities for interaction with practitioners. It has been designed with a view to establishing itself as a leading Masters program integrating studies in monetary economics, macroeconomics and finance and a major gateway to high-profile jobs in the banking and financial sector.
