Xiaoyun Yu is a Special-Term Professor at the Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance (SAIF), Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She is an Professor of Finance and Arthur M. Weimer Faculty Fellow at the Kelly School of Business, Indiana University.
 
Professor Yu’s research interests are in the areas of theoretical and empirical corporate finance. Her current research focuses on information economics, security design, initial public offering, financial institutions and systems, and political economy of finance. Her publications have appeared in Journal of Finance, Journal of Business, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, and other leading academic journals. She is the author and co-author of several book chapters for Social Security Reform in China and Volume of Finance, Frontiers of Western Research in the Humanities and Social Sciences.
 
Professor Yu has won many awards and research grants, including the 2013 TCFA Best Paper Award, the 2013 China International Conference in Finance Best Paper Award, and the 2012 Financial Management Association Best Paper Award in Financial Institutions and Markets. She is the member of research team recipients of several grants from the National Fund for Science Applications.
